| Good fucking hell, did I just dodge a bullet. Got a new car last month because the last one died in a flash flood, and so I thought it might be a good idea to change my car insurance to cover comprehensive and collision. Ha. Ha. Ha.
Not so much.
Thought they were only going to charge me alternating $230/260 payments a month. Nope. They were going to charge $1,150 this month and then $660 for all the other months. Hahaha. Nope. That is more then my car payment and over half of my monthly income. So, no. Not doing that. Car insurance is fucking highway robbery and can go die in a fire. One of the worse things about living in Michigan is how damn expensive the stupid car insurance is. Argh.
Gods, I am so glad I caught that in time to change it, otherwise I would have been so screwed.

| I am crazy tired. But in a good way. I got up really early today to attend the UU church in Ann Arbor before I headed off to my sword class. It was interesting and definitely different from my parents church. Though not in a bad way, just not what I'm used to. I think I'll go back next week.
So after that I headed to my swordsmanship lesson. Today was my first one and it was interesting and pretty awesome. Turns out I'm too late to join up with the current Basic students, they're too far along for me to catch up to them. The next session of Basic starts up next month though, so it's not too bad a wait. Until then I'm just going to observe the current students and be the demo monkey for when they need a complete noob to demo what the other students doing wrong. Or to mock the way the Society for Creative Anachronisms teaches swordsmanship which is pretty hilarious since they're set up right next to us and can hear every word that Sal is saying.
I can't wait till I can get started. it's going to be amazing. *strikes pose* I'm going to be the best swordswoman ever! *grins*

| Have recently gotten a hold of Dragon Age: Origins and I have thus far concluded that Alister and Morrigan need to have angry sex to get over their issues with each other. Or that could just make it worse....
The bickering is hilarious, though. *grins*

| Jumping on the Tiger & Bunny bandwagon. Is it even a bandwagon? I don't even care. *grins and twirls in happy circles* I love this show with all my sweet little fangirl heart. It hits all my buttons. Does it have bromance? Yes. Does it have superheros with powers? Yes. An interesting premise? Yes. Does it have pretty awesome people? Yes. Does it make me laugh? Yes. Is my life now complete? Yes, yes and yes! Yay new fandom! | |

| Have finally gotten my new laptop and I love it so far. His name is Gabriel and I really hope that doesn't mean he'll start fucking with my head for the hell of it. Which is why I originally tried to name him Cas but it wasn't sticking so Gabriel it is. I'm basically settled in I just need to move over my ridiculously large iTunes library along with my old word docs and then I'm set. *dances*
M'kay, it ridiculously late right now so I'm going to get to bed. Have to watch the kids group at my parents church tomorrow. *glaces at clock* Well, more like today. Bah. I hope it isn't going to be like last week so I can some more knitting done. Hm. Maybe I can distract them with yarn in between to Jesus bits? It worked in the beginning at least...

| I live! And I have a job! Yay! At least till the end of June or July. Which is not so yay. But still having a job is of the good. I'm a file clerk and it's kinda mind numbing sometimes; now that I've got the hang of it, but then I pretend that I'm Donna Noble and everything somehow becomes a little more epic. Because that's what Donna does. Also, have recently discovered that I can't focus if I don't have a knitting project that I'm working on because I keep wanting to look through patterns and buy yarn if I don't have something taking up my attention. It's less dangerous to my money to have a project going. Think I might start an attempt at the Doctor Who scarf sometime soonish because that'll take me forever. Currently working on cute set of corset gloves that are working up pretty quickly. They should look like this (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/corseted-mitts) when they're done. I'm doing mine in a stripy orange with gray ribbon. And it will be totally awesome. Also, need to start working on that green bustle skirt for WorldSteam or it'll never be done in time. And it must! Because how else am I going to be the Head Librarian Mechanic of Endellion Gray the most famous mechanized library in Scotland without a lovely outfit that fits the part? Granted, the bussle skirt is intended more toword the masquerade ball bit of the con but I'm fairly certain that the point still stands. I think. For my not formal wear I'm thinking more riding skirt sorta thing that can go between pants and skirt at my will. Maybe something like this, www.ladiesemporium.com/store/002783.php, but in black and with more pockets. Sensible blouse, a matching vest and a nice tool belt and then we should be in business. Hopefully. And maybe a bowler hat for the hell of it. Because I like hats, mainly. I've got some ideas for mods but until I have everything I'm not going to go too crazy. Shall try to update more often but no promises. | |

Dude, Green Lanturn. The only limit is the scope of your imangination which most definatly beats web slinging. Besides, I can turn my powers off by simply taking off the ring, less of a hassle. I won't accidently start stcking to things. Less pain and angst all around. - Tags:writer's block

| Religions prof is an idiot of epic proportions who has no idea how to lecture and doesn't know his subject at all. He also never remembers what he assigned us to read and so I ca never be as prepared as I want to be because the reading that he assigned last week becomes completely irreverent to that session. And it annoys and frustrates the ever loving shit out of me because I paid a lot of cash for that class and I have no way of getting it back now. This was also the class that I was looking the most forward to as well so that's another layer on my rage cake. There are probably about three other intelligent/well read people in the class. This is important because the prof likes to make the whole class into one big discussion to try and cover up his incompetence and blatant bias towards Christianity, which, besides me and the three other smart/well read people, no one cares about because they're all white and Christian. It's extra annoying as well that when ever I attempt to add to the 'discussion' that he'll just basically restate whatever I say with extra 'ums' and 'ahs' for added emphasis. And today we got a bonus dose of sexism, white male privilege and idiocy while attempting to discuss oral vs. written tradition.
So, I'm just kind of pissed off.
On the bright side, my Marriage & Family course is brilliant. I think I'm going to really sad when it ends because the prof is just completely fantastic; which just makes the contrast between the two classes even more stark concerning the Religion course's shittyness. Granted, I accidently got the wrong edition of the book but I'll have that fixed soon enough and than all shall be daises and chocolates.
